Worship
for Children and Youth
Children and youth are welcome at both worship
services. At the
8:45 am service
there will be a children’s message, followed by
Sunday school. Parents pick up children at their
classrooms at 10 am. At the 10:30 am service, children worship with their families. After a word especially for the children, they are invited to go to Young Chapel for children’s church. The children will rejoin their families in the sanctuary for the closing hymn. |

Nursery Care (room 222) A caring and nurturing
atmosphere provided for infants while parents
attend worship or classes. Parents are welcome
to bring their infants with them to the church
service or use the cry room located on the right
side of the sanctuary where parents with infants
can see and hear the service. Childcare for children under
five is provided in our nursery room 222 on the
lower level during coffee fellowship and the
second service. |

Preschool Class (room 216, ages 2-4) Through the use of stories,
puppets, crafts, singing and worship,
preschoolers learn about the Bible, God’s love,
and how to be like Jesus. |

Kindergarten Second Grade:
room 214 Third Fifth Grades: room 212 Classes for kindergarten through fifth grade learn about God’s word and Christian life through drama, art, song, study and worship. |

6th — 8th grade room 203 9th — 12th
grade, room 204 The focus of these classes is to relate scripture and Christian faith to the lives of today’s youth through discussion, worship, prayer, study, drama and the visual arts. |

The choir performs a variety of sacred choral music during the 10:30 a.m. worship service, with Thursday practice at 7:15 p.m. |

Band and singers offer
contemporary Christian music for the 8:45 a.m. worship service, with Sunday morning practice at 8:00 a.m. |

Meets Tuesdays at 4:00 p.m.,
elementary-age children learn to play handbells
and sing church songs. They play at both worship
services on occasion. |

|
Persons furnish
transportation, help with errands, make caring
phone calls, provide meals, and home care on a
short-term basis. |

|
“Angels” offer friendship and
care to persons in crisis or with special needs. |
||||
|
Small groups are formed in the fall and spring. Groups of 10-12 meet with a facilitator to deepen their walk with Christ. |

|
• A weekly two-hour session
of Bible study, prayer and fellowship meets at
9:30 a.m. in the Library. • Adult short-term study on
various subjects, changing when that topic is
completed. Meets at 7:00 p.m. at the church. |

|
Everyone is invited to join the monthly on the second Friday. Join us for varied activities such as games, programs and videos. |
||||
|
Meets the first Saturday’ of every even numbered month, 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. This is an opportunity for parents to leave their children at the church for four hours of fun and fellowship so the parents can have an evening out with no worries. For more information, call Juna Spitz at (760) 726-0442. |

A community of women of all
ages whose purpose is to know God, experience
freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ
and to participate in global missions. The
women’s unit meeting is the second Tuesday of
each month except in July and August and they
meet in the Fellowship Hall at 10 am. Their
circle meetings are on the first Tuesday of each
month except in July and August and meet at
various places. |

They meet at the Sunrise Café
(1250 South Santa Fe Avenue in Vista) at 7:30
a.m. every Friday for fellowship. |
||||
|
This is a non-profit religious organization that follows The Book of Discipline of the United Methodist Church. The objective is to supplement and support church activities beyond those supported by the church budget such as scholarships, support of Methodist seminaries, higher education and mission outreach. The Tree of Life in the Narthex is part of the Foundation. |

|
